Nifty opened with a gap up of 61 points at 7428 and made a high of 7504. The market remained pretty much sideways gaining at snails pace. However in the last trading hour it tumbled to erase its all gain and close at the loss of 8 points to 7359. The market is expected to move towards the 7300 levels as per the options data. Over all the market is forming a triangle pattern and can start move towards 7485 once it has tested the 7300 level.
The support for nifty is at and the resistance lies at. Nifty May Future has
been trading at 2-3 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the
Nifty May Options of ATM strike calls were at 21.62 and for puts were at 22.35. India VIX closed at 19.84.
PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 0.96 and PCR for the day based on
volumes was at 0.91 for the market.
