Nifty Daily For 31st oct 2014



                   Nifty opened flat at 8085 and made a new life time high of 8181.55. The market rallied single sided up with same open low. This was a clear indication of strong bull trend for the day. After the spectacular rally yesterday the market is likely to stay sideways with positive bias. The market can move further towards the higher targets of 8250-8305 only if the 8180 is decisively taken out.
                    The support for nifty is at 8135-8090-8051 and the resistance lies at 8211-8247-8305. Nifty November Future has been trading at 29 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty November Options of ATM strike calls were at 9.84 and for puts were at 14.35. India VIX closed at 13.265. PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.12 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 1.08 for the market.

STOCKS IN NEWS:**

Bharti Airtel Ltd: Bharti Airtel Ltd, India's top telecommunications carrier, reported a more than doubling of quarterly profit, beating street estimates, on higher voice call prices and rapid growth in mobile data usage.

CEAT: Tyre maker Ceat reported 7.57 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 82.35 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014.

Ajanta Pharma Ltd: Drug firm Ajanta Pharma reported a 40.88 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 78.63 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014, mainly on account of robust exports.

Castrol India Ltd: Castrol India posted a 12% higher net profit for the July-September 2014 quarter at Rs 117.9 crore, helped by 10.9% improvement in sales to Rs 802 crore.

Tata Motors Ltd: The Queen has today offcially opened Jaguar Land Rover's new £500 million engine manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton, said media reports.

Thermax Ltd: Energy and environment solutions provider Thermax today said it has bagged a contract worth Rs 321 crore for setting up a captive power plant in Africa.

HCC Ltd: Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) reported a 78 per cent drop in its second quarter net profit at Rs 6.8 crore versus Rs 31.6 crore, in a year ago period.

Adani Power Ltd: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has cleared Adani Power's proposed deal with Lanco Infratech to buy latter's 1,200-MW imported coal-fired power plant at Udupi in Karnataka for more than Rs 6,000 crore, marking the biggest acquisition in India's thermal power industry.

Manappuram Finance Ltd: Kerala-based gold loan financier Manappuram Finance Ltd on Thursday said it has signed a non-binding agreement to acquire a majority stake in Asirvad Microfinance Pvt. Ltd (AMPL), said media reports.

DLF Ltd: The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has directed real estate developer DLF to file an affidavit by November 3 stating the purpose for which it intends to use money that has been parked in mutual funds and the amount it requires for running the company till the end of this calendar year.

Nifty Daily For 30th Oct 2014



                   Nifty opened with a gap up of 49 points at 8077 and made a high of 8097.95. The market opened above the key resistance of 8065 and made high of 8078. The market filled the morning gap and made new high late in the session at 8098. It successfully closed above the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement of the fall from 8180 to 7722. The market is likely to stay negative biased with expiry slightly below the 8100 level.
                    The support for nifty is at 8055-8012-7977 and the resistance lies at 8115-8151-8190. Nifty October Future has been trading at 1-2 points discount to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty October Options of ATM strike calls were at 13.67 and for puts were at 14.88. India VIX closed at . PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.23 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 1.15 for the market.

Tech Mahindra Ltd: Tech Mahindra reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 720 crore for the quarter ended September 2014, up 14 per cent, from a net profit of Rs 631 crore in previous quarter.

Sesa Sterlite Ltd: Company reported a net profit of Rs 1658 crore for the quarter ended September 30, against Rs 2429 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

Emami Ltd: FMCG firm Emami today reported 16 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 92.76 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014.

IOC, HPCL & BPCL: Diesel and petrol are likely to be cheaper by about Rs 2.50 a litre soon, which would dampen inflation as diesel rates would be down 11% in less than two weeks, and cheer consumers ahead of assembly elections in Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir, government and industry sources said.

Cipla, Novartis India Ltd: Cipla, India's fifthlargest drugmaker by revenue, has asked the government to revoke five patents that Novartis holds on respiratory drug Onbrez and launched its generic version of indacaterol at a fifth of the price, triggering another confrontation between an Indian generic company and a foreign innovator firm.

GATI Ltd: Logistics player Gati reported over two-fold jump in its September quarter net profit at Rs 12.49 crore on a consolidated basis. The company had posted a post tax profit of Rs 5.76 crore in the same period last fiscal.

FTIL: Financial Technologies said the company's shares have been delisted from Madras Stock Exchange. On October 10, company's Board has approved voluntary delisting of the company's equity shares from Madras and Ahmedabad stock exchanges.

Raymond Ltd: Diversified group Raymond reported 26.18 per cent decline in consolidated net proft at Rs 68.12 crore in the second quarter ended on September 30 due to higher expenses.

Nifty Daily For 29th Oct 2014



                   Nifty opened with a gap up of 10 points at 8002 and made a high of 8037.80. As expected the market stayed tight range bound in 40 points. The market is consolidating before breaking the strong resistance of 8070 for the further up move. As long as 7970 is intact on the down side the market is likely to move up towards the 8130 levels. The option data also shown good put build up at 7950 levels, indicating a strong support in store. A dip towards the 7970 should be bought into with stop loss of 7940. 
                    The support for nifty is at 8003-7970-7931 and the resistance lies at 8065-8105-8153. Nifty October Future has been trading at 37-38 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty October Options of ATM strike calls were at14.1  and for puts were at 10.17. India VIX closed at . PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.03 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 0.98 for the market.

RIL: BP plc has written down the value of its shareholding in the eastern offshore KG-D6 block by $ 770 million dollar following a lower-than-expected gas price hike which it saw as a transition to market-based pricing.

Idea Cellular Ltd: Idea Cellular is working on the launch of 4G service in the country and as and when the ecosystem develops, it will be rolled out, a top official today said.

ONGC: After scripting a turnaround at its mainstay western offshore fields, state-run ONGC plans to ramp up oil output by 23 per cent to 28-29 million tonnes by 2019/20 as it brings newer fields into production.

Jubilant Life Sciences: The company posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 94.11 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 80.58 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.

SRF: SRF Ltd, a leading manufacturer of chemical-based industrial intermediates, today reported an increase of 60.87 per cent in net profit at Rs 76.85 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014.

JSPL: Jindal Steel and Power today said it will invest around $ 2 billion to raise capacity of its Oman-based wholly-owned subsidiary Shadeed Iron and Steel LLC by 2.5 million tonnes per annum over the next 3-4 years.

Hero MotoCorp Ltd: Reserve Bank has allowed foreign investors to buy up to 49 per cent of the paid up capital in Hero MotoCorp Ltd. As of quarter ended September 2014, FIIs held 34.34 per cent in the company.

DLF Ltd: UTI Mutual Fund, the country's fifth-largest asset management company, had a narrow escape from being caught on the wrong side of the law. After Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) barred real estate developer DLF and its promoters from accessing the capital market for three years, UTI MF went ahead with the redemption request of the company's investment with it.

BHEL: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has received a contract worth Rs 422 crore related to 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti hydel power project in Uttarakhand.

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company: The engineering firm on Tuesday said it has bagged a contract worth Rs. 179.84 crore for development of multipurpose berth at Dighi Port.
