Nifty opened with a gap down of 7 points at 7785 and made a high of 7791. The market remained sideways with negative bias for the first half of trading session. It however broke down towards the 7700 support. The market is at an important juncture. A breach of 7700 support will take it lower towards the 7600 levels. On upper side 7800 is still acting as strong resistance. The market is expected to trade in the 7700-7765 range or the day.
The support for nifty is at 7705-7683-7647 and the resistance lies at 7745-7779-7810. Nifty August Future has
been trading at 29-30 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the
Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were at 11.25 and for puts were at 14.95. India VIX closed at 13.8225.
PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 0.96 and PCR for the day based on
volumes was at 0.93 for the market.
