Nifty Daily For 25th July 2014



                   Nifty opened flat at 7796 and for most part of the day it remained sideways with in the range of 7770-7800. However it picked up the gain and made a high of 7835. The market is expected to move upwards towards the 7850. The market will remain sideways between 7850-7810 levels.
                    The support for nifty is at 7803-7778-7750 and the resistance lies at 7850-7897-7942. Nifty August Future has been trading at 3-4 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were at 8.68 and for puts were at 12.56. India VIX closed at 14.885. PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.06 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 1.01 for the market.

STOCKS IN NEWS:**

Wipro Ltd: Wipro declared first quarter net profit of Rs 2,103 crore, lagging analyst expectations, and provided a conservative forecast for the July to September quarter this year.

Punjab National Bank: The public sector bank is expected to report 11.4 per cent YoY fall in net profit for the quarter ended June 30 to Rs 1130 crore as compared to Rs 1275.30 crore reported in the year-ago period.

Ashok Leyland Ltd: The automaker is expected to report a loss of Rs 85 crore for the quarter ended June 30, as compared to Rs 142 crore reported in the year-ago period.

Genmark Pharma: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals reported 43.7 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 184.8 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014.

Pfizer: Drug firm Pfizer today reported 3.10 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 46.15 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014.

SKS Microfinance Ltd: Continuing with the bullish stance on SKS Microfinance, India's only listed player in the sector, foreign investors have hiked their stake in it to all-time high of 44.61 per cent during the April-June quarter amid a sharp rally in the company's share price.

Force Motors Ltd: Bajaj Holdings and Investment Ltd, the holding company of the Bajaj Group, has offloaded over 2 per cent stake in Pune-based Force Motors for Rs 13.29 crore.

Jet Airways Ltd: Private carrier Jet Airways and its 24 per cent equity partner Etihad today announced a 20-50 per cent special limited period discount on fares across 135 international destinations of the two carriers.

JSW Energy Ltd: JSW Energy Ltd is close to acquiring Lanco Infratech Ltd's 1,200 megawatt (MW) Udupi power plant in a deal worth nearly Rs.6,000 crore, people with knowledge of the matter said.

TVS Motor Company Ltd: TVS reported a 39.42 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs. 72.32 crore for the quarter ended June 30, on account of robust sales. The company had posted a net profit of Rs. 51.87 crore during the April-June quarter last fiscal.

Tata Steel Ltd: Tata Steel has raised $1.5 billion by issuing dollar bond to overseas investors, as part of its plan to refinance debt of $7 billion. The bond issue that closed on Thursday included two tranches with tenures of 10 years and five-and-half years.

Hotel Leela Venture Ltd: A company owned by the promoters of Leela Group has sold an IT Park in Kochi to Mumbai-based Carnival Group for Rs 280 crore.

DLF: India's largest real estate developer, is selling a 30-acre land parcel in Hyderabad's Raidurg area to local builder My Home Group for Rs 550 crore, two people with knowledge of the development said.

Bharti Infratel Ltd: Telecom tower provider Bharti Infratel reported a 29% rise in its consolidated net profit for the fiscal first quarter as mobile operators continued to invest in expanding their data coverage, in turn increasing rental income.

Zensat Technologies Ltd: Mid-sized software services firm Zensar Technologies reported an 8.2 per cent fall in its consolidated net profit at Rs 55.96 crore for the April-June quarter.

The stock has given break out of the Falling Channel formation on the daily line charts. The stock price is likely to move upwards 980 with the stop loss of 860. For short term the stock has stop loss of 868 for the target of 898-915-930.
