Nifty Daily For 30th July 2014



                   Nifty opened flat at 7793 and made a high of 7799.9. The market is clearly facing strong resistance at the 7800 levels. The market tumbled towards the support of 7720. Once the support was tested market closed at 7743. The market has formed a bullish harami on the 120 minutes charts. As long as the 7716 support is intact the market is expected to move up. It has strong resistance at 7788 level.
                    The support for nifty is at 7716-7664-7615 and the resistance lies at 7788-7830-7880. Nifty August Future has been trading at 5-6 points discount to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were at 7.81 and for puts were at 12.81. India VIX closed at 14.3225. PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.02 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 0.98 for the market.

ITC Ltd: ITC Ltd, India's largest cigarette maker, reported a better-than-expected 25% rise in quarterly sales as demand for smaller and cheaper cigarettes grew and its consumer goods business put in a stronger performance.

Bharti Airtel Ltd: Bharti Airtel on Tuesday posted a 61% jump in consolidated firstquarter net profit, boosted by surging data revenue and improving voice business in India, but missed estimates as losses in Africa continued to weigh.

IDFC: IDFC's consolidated net profit declined 13.55% year-on-year between April and June, 2014, on higher provisioning against bad loans.

Lanco Industries Ltd: Lanco Industries plans to set up a one lakh tonnes per annum (tpa) pipe plant with an investment of Rs 325 crore. The company is also planning to change its name to Srikalahasti Pipes.

Prism Cements Ltd: Prism Cements on Tuesday reported Rs 13.24-crore net profit for the April-June quarter on higher sales and margins from the construction raw material.

Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd: Ranbaxy Laboratories posted a net loss of Rs 186 crore for the quarter ended June, mainly because of a one-time settlement provision of Rs 237.75 crore for a specific ongoing discussion with the government authorities in the US.

Tata Steel Ltd: Moody's Investors Service today said it has put Tata Steel's corporate family rating of Ba3 and British arm's corporate family rating of B3 on review for upgrade, following the successful sale of unrated debt worth $1.5 billion last week.

Tata Group stocks will be in focus after Tata group Chairman Cyrus Mistry said that the group will invest $35 billion in the next three years as part of its vision 2025 by when it expects to achieve market capitalisation comparable to the world's top 25 companies.

Adani Group companies will be in focus after Australia approved Adani Group's controversial $16-billion Carmichael coal project in Queensland that could yield up to 60 million tonne of coal a year, but it has imposed strict conditions to protect the environment.

Future Retail Ltd: Kishore Biyani-promoted Future Retail has filed initial papers with market regulator Sebi to raise up to Rs 1,600 crore through a rights issue.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd: City-based pharma player Aurobindo Pharma has been dragged to a US court by two international pharma players - ViiV Healthcare UK Ltd and Pfizer, respectively - for patent infringement of two separate drugs.

BHEL: Efforts have been initiated by the Madhya Pradesh government to reclaim over 2,200 acres of land from 'Navratna' company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited ( BHEL), Bhopal, state government sources said. This land was allotted to the company years ago, said media reports.

Praj Industries Ltd: Pune-based Praj Industries, a technology and engineering solutions provider for the production of bio-fuels and biochemicals has posted profit of Rs 2.49 down 19 per cent as compared to Rs 3.09 crore last year for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.

SpiceJet Ltd: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is carrying out an engineering audit of SpiceJet after the carrier is said to have found it difficult to provide equipment to operate some flights.

The stock has formed a bullish harami pattern on the daily charts on better then 14 day average volume. The RSI is also bounced back from the support of 60%. Thus the stock can be bought with 152.1 as stop loss and 159.2-160.85 as targets.
