Nifty opened with a gap up of 27 points at 7795 and made a high of 7809. Once the resistance was tested the market moved down towards the 7745 support. The market made a low of 7752 and bounced back sharply towards the 7800 levels again. The market has formed a dragonfly doji. It is a clear sign of indecision. The formation near a strong resistance means that the market is posed for reversal. As long as 7810 is intact market can drift lower towards the 7750 levels.
The support for nifty is at 7760-7728-7685 and the resistance lies at 7810-7857-7892. Nifty July Future has
been trading at 4-5 points discount to the spot. The implied volatility on the
Nifty July Options of ATM strike calls were at 9.34 and for puts were at 13.28. India VIX closed at 14.69.
PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.14 and PCR for the day based on
volumes was at 1.07 for the market.

The company's net profit in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal was Rs 15 crore, the company said in a filing to BSE, said media reports.
Geometric Ltd: Software services provider Geometric Ltd posted a consolidated net profit of Rs19.2 crore in the quarter ended 30 June, up 24.6% from Rs15.4 crore in the year-ago period. On a sequential basis, net profit rose 185.7% from Rs6.72 crore in the quarter ended 31 March.
GIC Housing Finance Ltd: The housing finance arm of re-insurer General Insurance Corp - GIC Housing Finance Limited - posted a net profit of ?25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014 compared to Rs 24 crore, a year ago.
