Nifty Daily For 2nd Sept 2014



                   Nifty opened with a gap up of 36 points at  and made a high of 7990. The market continued its upward journey and hit life time high of 8035. The market has strong momentum and is likely to move further up. The market has given break out of the rising channel on the daily charts, but it has to trade above this for further up move to come. The channel target lies at 8364. 
                    The support for nifty is at 8000-7960-7920 and the resistance lies at 8075-8137-8175. Nifty September Future has been trading at 41-42 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty September Options of ATM strike calls were at 12.41 and for puts were at 13.72. India VIX closed at 13.53. PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.02 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 0.92 for the market.

Apollo Hospitals Ltd: Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals Enterprise plans to add 3 more reach hospitals with a total bed capacity of 500 beds in the country at an investment of Rs 400 crore in the current financial year.

Hero MotoCorp Ltd: Hero MotoCorp Ltd, the country's largest maker of motorcycles and scooters, said August sales rose 21 per cent from a year earlier to 558,609 units

TVS Motor Company Ltd: TVS Motor Company today reported a 46 per cent increase in its total sales at 2,27,482 units in August 2014.

IFCI: Government plans to hike its stake in IFCI Ltd to 51 per cent by infusing Rs 60 crore in the country's oldest financial institution. Even though the government had a majority shareholding in the term lender, at present the stake is nearly 48 per cent on account of inclusion of preference share capital.

Ashok Leyland Ltd: Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland reported 16.69 per cent increase in its total sales at 8,331 units in August.

PFC & REC: The government's divestment drive is gathering pace. On Tuesday, the power and finance minister will meet over selling stake in Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and REC.

Jaiprakash Associates: Jaiprakash Associates has sought shareholders' approval to give up to Rs.40,000 crore in guarantees against debt to joint ventures or associate firms.The new limit will be higher by Rs.5,000 crore, said media reports.

Punj Lloyd Ltd: Singapore's state investment company Temasek is negotiating with Atul Punj's flagship Punj Lloyd to buy its minority stake in super specialty hospital Medanta Medicity, founded by eminent cardiac surgeon, Dr Naresh Trehan.
