Nifty opened with a gap down of 32 points at 7874 and made a high of 7915. The market is likely to move down from here onwards. On Monday it had formed a bearish harami pattern near the upper resistance of rising channel. The big gap down on Tuesday can be termed as confirmation of this pattern. As long as market stays below 7970 it is likely to be bearish. There was more than 10 lac call writing was seen in the 7900PE.
The support for nifty is at 7842-7800-7753 and the resistance lies at 7931-7975-8025. Nifty August Future has
been trading at 1-2 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the
Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were at 11.11 and for puts were at 11.74. India VIX closed at 13.9025.
PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 0.99 and PCR for the day based on
volumes was at 0.95 for the market.

SAIL: Steel Authority of India plans to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore debt this fiscal by issuing secured non-convertible debentures or bonds in tranches to part-fund its capital expenditure.
