Nifty opened with a gap down of 20 points at 7726 and made a high of 7740. The markets failed to cross the 7745 resistance level, as well as previous days high. This is clear indication of weak market. It collapsed down to the support of 7660. The market can move up as long as the 7654 levels is not broken on closing basis.
The support for nifty is at 7654-7602-7560 and the resistance lies at 7414-7754-7776. Nifty August Future has
been trading at 19-20 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the
Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were at 11.74 and for puts were at 14.8. India VIX closed at .
PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.01 and PCR for the day based on
volumes was at 0.96 for the market.
