Although Europe and America was closed down on friday, our markets opened with a gap up opening on the back of strong Asian queues. It then drifted and broke the swing low of 5936. Nifty however took support at the lower trend line of the falling wedge on the candlestick charts. The nifty can move up to 6020-6025 in the last leg up of the falling wedge before breaking down. The support for nifty is at 5876-5785 and resistance is at 6025-6076-6124.
Nifty June Future has been trading at 19-20 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty June Options of ATM strike calls were at 14.69 and for puts were at 17.99. India VIX closed at 17.29. PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 0.98 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 0.99 for the market.
