Nifty opened gap up of 41 points at 5607 on the back of strong asian markets, but soon faltered. However it bounced sharply from the support of 5560 and went again above the level of 5600. The better than expected trade balance data and lower imports boosted the market sentiments. The markets went passed the resistance of 5630 with ease. A sell off occurred around the resistance of 5650 and markets closed with marginal gains. The pull back will continue however the weak banking stocks were a cause of worry.

support for nifty is at 5600-5575-5535 and the resistance lies at 5640-5670-5710. Nifty August Future has been trading at 1-10 points premium to the
spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were
at 17.34 and for puts were at 21.87. India VIX closed at 21.28. PCR for Nifty
based on open interest was at 0.95 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 0.91 for the market. A good amount of put writing is seen in the 5500 PE and call writing is seen in 5900 CE.
