Nifty Daily For 30th August 2013



       Nifty opened gap up of 31 points at 5316 on strong local and local ques. The RBI action of directly selling dollars to Oil companies clearly helped rupee recover from the disastrous fall of 4% yesterday. This also lifted the market sentiments. Although global rating agencies are warning India of possible sovereign downgrade, but still the news was some what discounted by markets earlier. The markets kept its merry mood intact and closed with a good gains of 2.35% at 5409. The markets went all the way to 5428 but was sold off immediately to 5380 levels. The metal and IT stocks the markets up. The rally is expected to continue towards the 5500-5650 zone.
      The support for nifty is at 5372-5310-5270 and the resistance lies at 5454-5502-5588. Nifty September Future has been trading at 6-7 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty September Options of ATM strike calls were at 22.74 and for puts were at 29.49. India VIX closed at 29.41. PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.21 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 1.11 for the market.
