Nifty opened with a slight gap down at 5600 and wend down to test the lower support of 5575 due to dismal IIP data publish after market hours yesterday. From there on the markets moved unanimously in one direction. The beaten down stocks from banking, realty, oil & gas lead the rally. Nifty closed with a good gain of 1.55% and tested the 5700 levels. The markets will continue to hold gains and move up towards the 5850 levels in the near term.
The
support for nifty is at 5675-5635-5590 and the resistance lies at
5720-5750-5795. Nifty August Future has been trading at 12-13 points premium to the
spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were
at 15.78 and for puts were at 18.92. India VIX closed at 19.26. PCR for Nifty
based on open interest was at 1.07 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at
1.01 for the market.
