Nifty opened with a big gap down of 60 points at 5353 and made the low of 5306 and bounced back sharply to close with marginal loss of 13 points. The bank nifty was the main component cutting into the losses of nifty. On the smaller time frame nifty has formed an Inverted head & shoulders pattern. The neckline is at 5412 and the possible targets on pattern after completion is around 5515. Nifty today took support of a gap between 5309 and 5260 left in the September 2012.
The
support for nifty is at 5362-5305-5260 and the resistance lies at 5435-5480-5531. Nifty August Future has been trading at 3-4 points discount to the
spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty August Options of ATM strike calls were
at 22.22 and for puts were at 28.61. India VIX closed at 27.23. PCR for Nifty
based on open interest was at .91 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 1.02 for the market.
