Nifty Daily For 11th July 2013

             Nifty opened gap up 10 points made high of 5879 but soon gave up all gains to the lows of 5847. Nifty then kept dwindling in the range of 5850-5870 for better part of trading session. The sharp sell off came only in the last one and the half hour of trade. Nifty wend down sharply to the lows of 5802.85. The bounce from the strong support of 5800 was equally sharp and took nifty back to 5830 levels. The banks and oil & gas space which were supporting the markets gave away, leading to fall of the market. For time being nifty is struck between 5750 and 5910, and a breakout will only provide clear direction. The nifty earning season which kick started today with the strong IndusInd bank result might hold the key. This Friday is very important because of IIP data and the ex- bellwether of IT industry Infosys result. The strategy can be short near 5900 and go long near 5750.

             The support for nifty is at 5785-5735-5700 and the resistance lies at 5840-5870-5910. Nifty July Future has been trading at 5-6 points premium to the spot. The implied volatility on the Nifty July Options of ATM strike calls were at 17.09 and for puts were at 22.57. India VIX closed at 19.98. PCR for Nifty based on open interest was at 1.29 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at 1.11 for the market.
