Nifty opened with 105 points above the key resistance of 5550 and went on to build the gains. This move came on the back of bank nifty surging almost 10%. The new RBI governor Mr. Raghuram Rajan has started setting his saddle on the back of the Indian economy. His efforts towards simplifying the fund raising abroad for corporate & banks as well as attracting Foreign investors were welcomed. The euphoric moves helped beaten down stocks to revive sharply on the back of massive short covering. The market has still steam left to move up towards 5650-5720. The market can consolidate for some days before resuming an up move.
The
support for nifty is at 5550-5505-5460 and the resistance lies at 5650-5700-5768.
Nifty September Future has been trading at 14-15 points premium to the spot. The
implied volatility on the Nifty September Options of ATM strike calls were at 24.33 and for puts were at 27.91. India VIX closed at 28.53. PCR for Nifty
based on open interest was at 1.48 and PCR for the day based on volumes was at
1.08 for the market.
